Martin Cross began his career eighteen years ago as an in-house editor of Japanese patent translations in Tokyo. Also in Japan, he worked on a machine translation development program, strengthening an interest in the theoretical aspects of language processing, which had begun with his study of linguistics in university. He later lived for many years in Italy and France, where he translated from those languages into English. Ten years ago, he formed Patent Translations Inc. to provide law firms with translations for filing, litigation support and research. Since then, much of his time has been spent editing translations and training other translators and editors in the ins and outs of patent translation.

Upcoming Events
